Chris Miller, Vice President of the Parsippany Volunteer Ambulance Squad, said the Squad – which does not bill the individuals it helps for any services – was extremely appreciative of Evonik Degussa’s donation.

“Since we are an all volunteer organization, any money we receive is put to good use to maintain our equipment or to purchase supplies,” said Miller. “We are especially thankful to Evonik Degussa and wish other companies in the area were as generous.

He added that earlier this year, Evonik Degussa Corporation donated $1,500 to the Parsippany Volunteer Ambulance Squad to help fund the purchase of a new stretcher. “The Squad is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week so it’s important for us to have the best equipment and adequate supplies,” Miller said.
