Product Stewardship Summaries

Evonik Degussa Corporation has committed to participate in the Global Product Strategy, an agreement among many global chemical companies intended to enhance stewardship practices for chemicals. Our commitment includes publishing Product Stewardship Summaries to allow the public to become better informed about the chemicals used by our company. These summaries are intended to give general information about the chemical (or categories of chemicals) addressed. They are not intended to provide an in-depth discussion of health and safety information. Additional information is available through the relevant Safety Data Sheet, which should be consulted before use of the chemical. The Product Stewardship Summaries do not replace required communication documents such as the Safety Data Sheet or Labels.

The summaries include information describing some of the uses of each chemical or category of chemicals, physical property information, potential environmental, safety or health (EHS) effects from exposure to the chemical or class of chemicals, and how to obtain information on risk management practices. In the context of these documents, the term “risk” refers to the possibility of an EHS effect being realized due to an exposure. It is important to note that through effective risk management practices, which are often actions taken to reduce or eliminate exposures to chemicals, the potential effects described on each of these documents are much less likely to occur.
